California Healthy Kids Survey
This year, Nuview Union School District (NUSD) will be administering the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) to all of our District's 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th grade students. This survey, sponsored by the California Department of Education, will help promote better health and well-being among our students, improve the school learning environment, and combat problems such as drug abuse and violence. Your child does not have to take the survey. For students in 6th grade, participation requires your permission. For students in 7th, 9th and 11th grade, if you do not want your child to complete the survey you must notify the district. An informational letter/permission slip is linked below in both English and Spanish. The survey was developed by WestEd, a public, non-profit educational institution and survey questions can be viewed below. For questions and/or concerns regarding the California Healthy Kids Survey please contact Jennie Kosters-LaBriola, Director of Special Education and Student Services at (951) 928-0066.
