Ken French, Board Member

Ken French, a California native from Ontario, is set to begin his second term as a board member for the Nuview Union School District. He has a diverse background, having worked a range of positions, including as a machinist, mechanic, plumber, fabricator, quality control manager, office manager, financial manager, and technology manager, which has taken him to various locations across the United States and other countries. Ken has also been an active member of his community, participating in organizations such as the Lions Club, Municipal Advisory Council, and Chamber of Commerce.
 
Ken has pursued education at Cal Poly Pomona, Citrus College, Universal Technical Institute, and the University of Phoenix. He has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Information Systems Management in Technology. He also has credits towards a Master's in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy, and he holds certification as a school security officer under SB 1626. Ken also attended and completed Masters in Governance MIG training during his first term. A lover of reading and lifelong learning, Ken is committed to fostering open communication with students, parents, and staff to provide the best education in a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, he is passionate about preparing students for the rapidly-changing world through technology and puts a high priority on school safety and security. Ken believes that the Nuview Union School District has long been a leader in education and he is eager to continue that legacy during his second term. He is married to Jennifer French, who is a Kindergarten teacher and also attended Nuview Union School District. They have two sons and a niece who attend the Nuview Union School District. The couple enjoys spending time together as a family, including going to the beach, the mountains, the movies and having quality time together.
