For the past eight and a half years, she was a principal with the Riverside County Office of Education in both Special Education and Alternative Education.  In Special Education, she led teams of teachers serving students from birth to age 22 in all areas of eligibility.  As an Alternative Education principal, she led a community school for students on expulsion contracts as well as students in the probation system.  Before RCOE, she was a coordinator and behavior specialist with San Jacinto USD.  She has also been a teacher for students with moderate to severe disabilities, including medically fragile, in both Hawaii and California.  She is a Hemet High graduate and grew up in the valley.
